Tijuana.- Sin la presencia de Raúl Ramírez Lozano, el homenajeado, Maritza Sayalero, esposa del tenista, agradeció el reconocimiento que organizó el Ayuntamiento de Ensenada que preside Armando Ayala y especialmente a Laura Marmolejo, su amiga desde mucho antes de asumir la dirección del Inmudere.
Maritza Sayalero, miss universo 1979, a nombre de su esposo y familiares dio un mensaje de agradecimiento y encabezó la develación de placas y letrero de la Unidad Deportiva de Valle Dorado en concurrido evento de nombramiento del recinto como “Raúl Ramírez Lozano”.
En su oportunidad, el presidente municipal Armando Ayala Robles, consideró un honor que el máximo exponente del tenis en México, orgullosamente es este puerto y resaltó el trabajo que durante meses realizó, Laura Marmolejo directora del Instituto Municipal del Deporte y Recreación de Ensenada (Inmudere) y para ello el apoyo unánime de Cabildo.
El destacado periodista Fernando Schwartz, toda una personalidad de la crónica deportiva en México vino de la Ciudad de México especialmente para presentar una semblanza con históricas fotografías y con su estilo único resaltó los logros deportivos y familiares Raúl Ramírez, este por problemas de salud no pudo estar presente.
Uno de los hijos del tenista presentó un el tráiler de su película que dejó muy buen sabor de boca y muchos tenistas, a distancia, enviaron mensajes de felicitación por el merecido reconocimiento, la convocatoria fue selecta y de grandes personalidades.

Ramírez, publicó: Hoy fue un gran día para la familia, hoy se deja un legado importante para Ensenada con el nombramiento de la ciudad deportiva Raúl Ramírez Lozano, e inicia la segunda etapa de desarrollo de la película “Love or Nothing” que se convertirá en un legado para diversas generaciones, buscando que trascienda fronteras.
Durante poco menos de una hora, la ceremonia se trasmitió por redes sociales, inició en vivo y la el alcalde Ayala cerró después de premiar, junto a varios regidores invitados, a tenistas infantiles que estrenaron las canchas remodeladas con un torneo de invitación.
La decisión ha sido calificada de acertada y este reconocimiento ha sido muy aplaudido, Raúl Ramírez Lozano es una grande estrella del deporte de Baja California y México, jugador de los mejores a nivel individual y campeón mundial de dobles. En una de las áreas cercanas a las canchas de tenis se instaló una mesa de la fama, con copas, trofeos y pelotas propiedad de la familia del tenista.
En el presídium además del alcalde, la directora del Imdet y la esposa de Raúl estuvo el residente de la Asociación Estatal de Tenis de Baja California, Ignacio Iñaqui Martínez y en primera fila sus hijos Rebeca, Raúl, Daniel y dos de sus nietos, Raúl y Rodrigo.
